Stumbled upon this place only because it was freezing cold/ wind chill 19 degrees outside and it was directly across from our hotel. We were not dressed to walk any further in the cold. The three of us reviewed the menu and all three of us surprisingly settled on the same thing, the fried chicken, grits and greens. I substituted mushrooms for greens. Once the meals came, our whole conversation shifted to just how delicious that chicken was. We were all so happily surprised! Our waiter Keenan was very attentive. Thank you White Oak Kitchen for an unexpectedly delicious meal!

Service was excellent. Menu was thoroughly explained and the servers were very helpful with the wine selections. They have have a large selection of wines by the glass, great way to try something different. Food was well presented and very tasty.

We went with another couple and were presented with the thickest wine list that we had ever seen! It was so large that we decided to ask for a bottle of house Cabernet--they were out so we finally selected a California wine. Several of us had the heirloom tomato salad which was good. One person had the vegetarian platter which was very generous with carrots, okra, and zucchini. One person had the catfish which he said was good and two of us had bonzini (fish), which I had never heard of--quite tasty. Two of us had the Meyer lemon with rhubarb--the rhubarb was merely smeared on bottom of plate and was ok. We did start dinner outside which was lovely but the mosquitoes drove us inside. All in all, a nice restaurant with good service.

Went here for lunch and dinner over a 2 day period. Lunch: it was a beautiful day and I sat outside (a rarity for me in the humid climate of Atlanta.) The atmosphere was nice because of the weather and the clean patio of the restaurant. I had the scallop appetizer which was marvelous because of the peach pieces. My server started off keeping me waiting for water and to order, but once i did, i found him a bit more friendly and attentive. Overall a pleasant experience. The next day I brought a group of 11 others from work. We had a nice time and the majority of the food was raved about. The fried chicken was excellent, as were the fried green tomatoes, and the chocolate dessert. I will say the food was mostly A+. A few of the dishes however, I'd rate a B. My fish dish was nicely cooked, but a little lackluster for example. the best part of the dish was the succotash, but when paying that much for fish, you want the fish to be the star of the show, but it wasn't. But overall, again, most folks loved their food and I would say that is accurate. In the beginning our service was prompt and attentive. Our server helped us to celebrate a special occasion and was very prompt to do so - and very friendly. However after ordering drinks.... you naturally expect things to take a little longer with a party of 12, but.... it then took FOREVER for everything. And we had to ask for everything - one of my pet peeves. It was annoying at first, but after we got our appetizers, then it got just too long to wait and was very disappointing. We probably waited 20+ minutes to get our entrees, we were neglected for reordering drinks and then another 20+ minutes at least to get our desserts. The whole ordeal lasted 4 HOURS! It only should have taken 2 to 2 1/2 hours, we were all more than ready to leave. The service totally declined due to how long they took. At the point when we first sat down the restaurant was pretty busy, but by the time we got our entrees it wasn't that busy any more so i'm not sure why the level of service slipped, but it definitely did. All of my guests started complaining about it too - embarrassing. I let our lead waiter know and he was gracious in hearing me out and did apologize. I appreciated that, but still it didn't change what happened. I would go back b/c of the food, but i'd probably go for lunch and i'd not take a group back again. just not worth the expense and time.
